……………….of
the last song
to lull
innocence to sleep
through darkness
Waking
to an imperfect dawn
of shadows
to linger
through a lifetime
of broken suns &
clouds that shatter
like so much sorrow
spilling out,
Reflecting
from youth to present
the pain of
raging
dark skies
deep as rivers
overflowing &
drowning like
Tears
that weep themselves
into the empty prayers
of existence
as time keeps
Secrets
left hidden
behind
the ancient eyes
of seasons’ decay
Watching,
always watching
through
the mirrored cracks
of some other
distant world
unreachable,
untouchable
Tucked in
to memory
Unsung

Part autobiographical, part confessional, part therapy, completely human, these poems were boldly written from the heart of life's experiences. The Lost Lullaby is a collection of real life poems that gives the reader a glimpse inside the mind of the woman who wrote them. Each poem is a journey through the moments of existence, through the dysfunction of an abusive childhood, heartbreak, questioning, love and loss, through darkness, madness, survival and hope.
